JUNGLE TEAMBUILDING- SCHOOLS

Building on our success with younger children, we’ve recently developed a new program, Jungle Teambuilding, which is aimed at equipping young adults, year 10 and above with the skills they need to succeed in the workplace and beyond.  This program is designed to bridge the gap between school, further education, apprenticeships and careers by teaching pupils fundamental skills such as communication skills, organisational skills, teamwork, problem solving and thinking outside the square.

Since starting the program, Jungle Sports has worked with over 25 schools in WA delivering unique and customised employability sessions.   Every class is different and is tailored to each schools’ individual objectives.

The Jungle Team demonstrated a highly professional, fun, well planned and safe program that was also entertaining for our pupils. We were equally impressed with their flexibility to our changing needs with well organised activities, and endless energy.  We look forward to working with them again on many more projects.”  Adrian Knox, Communicare

High School Mentor Program:

This program is designed for the pupils to gain communication and leadership skills and to put them into practice as a mentor to younger children.

  • 4 weeks (1 hour sessions) of in school training to build confidence
  • 1 week at a local Primary School conducting short sports sessions (that they have helped to create) to the younger pupils.

“We have utilised Jungle Sports for events which target disadvantaged target groups, such as Indigenous students, students at risk of disengagement and culturally and linguistically diverse students.  Many of these students are at risk of disengaging from school and do not usually respond to authority figures, however the majority of these students have reacted positively to Jungle Sports and have enjoyed participating in Jungle Sports activities.”  Canning Coalition

“The Jungle Sports staffs’ effective communication skills, outgoing personalities and the ability to relate to young people has made each Jungle Sports session an exciting and engaging opportunity for young people to develop their skills.  As each session is followed by a debrief, students are able to apply the skills to other aspects of their lives, such as education and employment.” Linley Stewart, Thornlie Senior High School
